First off, congratulations to everyone who participated in the power contest, and especially to our five winners: Aesteria, Aluka, Ayla, Bruise, and Lost! I'd like to start up a new contest soon, so if you have any ideas for a contest or for prizes, please post them (along with your congratulations) on the power contest thread in the OOC board.

Second, I think we've all had just about enough of winter, eh? I now declare it officially Springtime. (Of course, threads which were already taking place in the snow can continue that way, because we do so loathe those freak, split-second changes in weather.)

This is an urgent warning to all of you!

As you all have probably seen, in our advertisement board we have come under a constant attack from spam-bots. This has all been fine, as we admin have been deleting them asap.

However, tonight whilst doing routine deletes a new post occurred that I could not delete. As soon as I opened it, it redirected me to an adult site before I could scroll down to the delete button.

As a result, I am telling all of you this: DO NOT click on ANY spam threads. If you see them, report them but DO NOT click them open. They could potentially contain viruses deadly to your PC.

I have temporarily disabled guest posting on the advertisement board until a further solution can be reached.

Until then, happy RPing, people.

Edit - The thread is gone - after Mel and I played several rounds of who can click faster then the page can load we deleted it - but please, please don't open any questionable threads they will disturb you at the very least and kill your computer at the worst.

A midpoint evaluation has been posted for everyone who has entered in the power contest so far. Your biggest weakness, overall, is post count - no one has more than 4 of the required 15 in-character posts for the month of September. There are three weeks left until the contest ends - in that time, make any changes you want to make based on your evaluation, get in any new entries you want to submit (remember - you CAN enter multiple times for the same horse!), and post, post, post! Anyone who does not have 15 posts in character by the time judging starts will not be considered.

So as many of you know, quests in Terranfall have been pretty slow - or completely closed - for a while. This was because I wasn't very happy with the system we were using for it. After having talked with Crux, we've come up with a slightly more consistent way to handle quests. He will take over the actual "questing" portion, where your character is faced with decisions in wandering through Terranfall, and myself and the other staff members will continue to handle the portion where a god appears to you and offers you a series of powers. That part remains the same: when offered your power, you will get one test post with that power, after which the god decides if you keep it or not. If the god decides from your test post that the power was unsuited to you, you will get a dice roll which determines if you get to try another power or if the god leaves without giving you anything. Changes (or specifications, more accurately) were made mostly to the initial stage of wandering through the caves, planned by Crux, which is why he will be administering them.

And yes, the contest is still going! Feel free to start quests with characters who have already entered the contest. If they win, your quest will just be closed. If not, you will still have the option to receive a power not of your making through the quest.

Also, a few little changes in the site's layout: as you'll notice, affiliates have finally been sorted into static and scrolling (because, though we request to have our banner made static and visible on all pages, many do not comply, and stick us either in a scroll/marquee or in a seperate page.) I've also added a staff picks section, for sites that I (or the mods) find really exceptional. Note that these are NOT sister sites (except for FSCRP) and no one may ask to have their site put there. Those spots are earned based solely on our opinions.

Also, a bit of moving around with the home page: the Terra stats have been moved to the left nav, since people seem to have trouble finding them, and new members moved to the right side on the home page. The new threads and new replies blocks have changed too, to assure that they no longer stretch the page like they have been doing, when someone posts with a long thread title or username.
