The sea... Its so beautiful.

Gypsy strided along the beach, her beautifully heavy head moving with her fluid pace, her thick neck arched, and coffee stain eyes searching the sea. What was it that attracted gypsy to the sea? Was it how it seemed to stretch on for ever? Or the waves, which surged in and out, sparkling in the sun, and threatening her when it was clouded? She had no idea. All she knew was that she could sit for hours just watching, moving, shifting, changing shape, moving in and out... It was utterly, and completelyfree. She guess she felt connected to it.Suddenly, with that thought, she recalled a story a traveler horse , like her, had told her...

'There was once a beautiful island that had been raised out of the ground. There were lovely people, the grass was green, and the food was plenty. They had one problem with the island, who of the gods would have it? Both grey-eyed Athena and Poseidon, lord of the sea wanted it. They took the matter up to Zuess, who refused to judge. For, he could not refuse is favorite daughter *Athena) yet his brother would be offended with him if he did pick Athena. He handed the responsibility to another one of the gods, the judge god. The god finally thought of an idea.
'Who ever gives the island the best gift, shall win it.' So, Poseidon went to his stables, and picked out some of his finest wave steeds, and made them into flesh and blood horses. They had turquoise coats, silver manes, and fiery spirit. The judge was very impressed, and was thinking that Poseidon would certainly win, when Athena appeared on the hill. In her hand, she held not her spear, but a small tree. She thrust it into the ground, and spoke;
'this will fuel your fires, feed your stomachs, and the tree, is good for shade, and the leaves. The wood, good for burning. The judge was dumbstruck. Poseidon's gift had been beautiful and string, but the tree really helped the island. So, he gave the island to Athena. Thus, Poseidon, in a fit of stormy rage, flooded the island, and his punishment was too..'

Gypsy's head snapped up, and she discovered she was not alone...

The summer would always cast a light upon the island sands that made the tiny grains glisten likes a treasure chest beach. This was one of the things Titanium loved about his home. He didn't look like he woukd suit it, really. He just wasn't a beachy looking horse, but he moved in total comfort, like him and the land oddly bonded together so no one could question his loyalty to it. Now he moved through the jungle like shelter, setting over the many islands with ease despite the harsh walking sand always created.

Titanium was generally a well muscles horse, his bulk not fast but carried alot of strength. It was the sand that was always tough on horses because of their hooves that seemed to provide more work for him. He could move freely over it now, but he remembered the first couple days feeling sore with every step because he wasn't used to such ground. Now he gained a certain grace when he left the Palm Isles, and managed to keep it as he walked now, which was common in only his sort of breed.

His stone grey coat stood out from the golden sands, the bright blue sky giving the sea a deep tropical colour. He made his way through the jungle of the island Cunei, on his way to Khado, but as he found the edge a coloring of black and white caught his eye. He looked a saw a mare standing at the edge of the water, seemingly watching the tide but her expression was far away. As if she was deep in thought. He stopped his journey to the other island and walked slowly back out of the water. He had been in it up to chest deep and now as he powered himself out torrents of water ran off him in, his stone coloured coat darker and shining from the wet.

She was taller than a few horses, it was easy to see she carried Gypsy Vanner blood. She had more bulk than other mares too, but that was just the consequences of a draft breed. Titanium, being an elegant Clydesdale himself, never noticed much of these things. He stood at 17hh himself, and still towered over her. He started walking slowly her way, not bothering to announce himself, and stopped as she realized she wasn't alone. He waited for her to see him, his perfectly steel eyes matching his grave expression.

Gypsy looked at the grave stallion. She smiled at him, and swept herself to her feet in one graceful movement.
"Hello." She murmured, and her beautiful melting chocolate eyes rested on his steel grey eyes. Her aura of peace floated around her, and her mane flowed down to her neck. Her tail twitched, and she whufflled her lips. The sun struck her overo pinto coat, and it shone brilliantly.
"Would you like a peppermint?" She asked the stallion, automatically swinging her neck around, nimbly lifting the flap of the small leather satchel that hung around her neck. the satchel did not look human like. It looked like it was part if her, like it belonged with her. it did. It was worn in some patches, and it smelled strongly of sweet gypsy and peppermints. He towered over her, but she didn't mind. She felt no threat. Gypsy had the sea, just beside her, she could easily swim out. and plus, she didn't think the stallion would attack her. Her melting chocolate eyes swept over him, and she smiled again. She walked easily over the sand. Her old owner used to take her for many rides along the beach. She thought of him fondly. He had been a kind man, and this satchel and her rapidly dwindling supply of peppermints was her only reminders of him. She thought of his twinkly blue yes, and smiled again.
She closed the distance between them at a leisured pace, and inhaled his scent, memorizing it. She flipped the lid of her satchel again, and held a peppermint out, and offer.
An aura of peace hung around her softly.

He watched as she rolled herself up, murmuring a greeting. Hello. His chiseled ears pricked toward her, to listen to her voice. It was instantly recorded, something he would remember in his memory for future references. His nose quivered at her scent, something sweet and sharp and new occupied his attention. He looked to her side, trying to figure out the wierd piece of material clinging to her neck. Would you like a peppermint? He watched as she magically pulled something small with that sharp smell out of it. His grey eyes narrowed with suspicion.

"What do you do with it?" His baritone voice rumbled as he lowered his large head and inspected it with one rolling eye. Then his nose drew to it, taking in the confusing scent. It was like a mixture, and reminded him of a plant he had found in the woods one time. He backed up though, and looked at her now, with suspicion.

Gypsy watched as the stallion regarded her with suspicion. It didn't bother her.
"You suck on it." She said calmly, and, to show him, she opened her mouth, and showed him her peppermint. She laughed, it was a warm sound.
"Have you ever eaten a mint plant?" She asked. "It is almost like that."
She wasn't stretching her neck out with it, she didn't want him to feel threatened.
She noticed him eyeing her bag curiously, and she said nothing.

You suck on it. She said matter-of-factly, as if she had relayed this information over before. He cocked an ear, his steel eyes quiet, urging her to go on. Have you ever eaten a mint plant? He shook his head, he wasn't bothered with plants that didn't seem to offer him any use. It is almost like that. That was the little healer of the forest, Illinga. She'd have more interest, then again, she probably already knew.

"That smell is familiar, I must have by passed a mint plant before." He rumbled, then shook his head. "I'll pass of that for now, maybe another day." He glanced at the attachment on her neck, but decided not to mention it. Maybe it was a defect? If those things came out of her, well, he wasn't a cannibal. Anyhoo, back to business.

The stallion set his shoulders, and looked around, unconciously of course. Since the war even being in his own home made him edgy, he always had to check there wasn't anything threatening him. He barely knew he was doing it half the time, sometimes he wondered why his muscles were always sore just before he fell asleep at night. He'd been so tense, so agitated the whole day it was only just before sleep when his stones sides grew softer that he realized the pain it gave him.

"What name do you go by?" He asked her, lashing his tail sequined with sand grains against his side. His warm, grassy breath huffed through his lips.
