SHAWNEE !

info 1 here

info 2 here

Shawnee was never one to be social. Nope, not a chance. But, she did like to talk to her friend, Annie. I mean, who doesn't like talking to their best friend? Shawnee and Annie were practically family. Shawnee had been born just a week before her, and her mother had tricked Annie and her into thinking they were sisters. That was when they were good. But now, they were bad. An event had happened, not much to talk about to others though. Shawnee had in fact murdered her own mother. Well, the water had murdered her, she had just helped.

A smirk set across her face as she smirked. A lot had happened since her foal hood. Her father had left, her mother murdered, and she had left too. But there was one thing that annoyed her the most. The fact that she had a child. A buckskin overo filly, if she could remember rightly. The only reason she remembered was because she had wounded her filly from birth. The smirked widened, and a glint appeared in her eyes. She felt in the mood for, what exactly? Easy. Pain.

The fact that she had been thinking about all her memories might have sparked it, or maybe it was just her mind. But it came suddenly, and it made her smile. Not a friendly smile. Oh no. An evil, deceiving smile. The plant life around her almost seemed to shudder at the emotion. But there was one problem. She didn't know how she was going to do it. She trotted up to a stream, and put her head down, taking a few gulps of water. Then she lifted her head, and stared into the dark shadows of trees, darkened by the night that was like velvet above her. Then, by accident, she thought out loud

" Now, how am i going to do this? "

I watched from the shadows as Shawnee drank from the stream. My jet black fur blended with the trees, making me look like a simple shadow, not something that you would look twice at. A bee settled on my back, and my tail whipped up and scared it off so quickly it was hardly there for a second. I stood quite still, looking out again to see if Shawnee had noticed me.

Shawnee stopped drinking and raised her head to look into the forest. She was not looking in my direction - quite another way, actually - and did not notice me. Then she spoke, thinking out loud, almost. " Now, how am i going to do this? " I pricked one ear curiously. Shawnee may be a dear friend, but I cannot tell every thought that passes through her head. Then I recognised her expression, and I smirked.

Do what, sister dear?

I walked out of the bushes, tail flicking. My voice was decieving, sounding almost sweet. I blinked once, tossing my mane. My smirk became a smile, one that did not match what the conversation at all. But I knew Shawnee would recognise the look I was wearing - it was innocent, enticing others in. I was like a Venus Fly Trap - deceptive and ready to strike at any time. But I was different, too. I held more poison than a cobra, poisoning others' minds.

SHAWNEE !

Everyone knows me

Yet no one does

Shawnee's breath came in quick as she heard some horse emerge. Her knees locked, ready to stand my ground. But she relaxed, picking up each of her hooves then putting them on the ground again. Exhaling, she hissed

"Jeez Annie, you're gonna be the death of me.."

Her voice was barely a whisper it was so quiet. Her eyes had the spark of annoyance and irritation, but there was friendliness there too. If it had been anyone other than Annie she probably would've torn their head off. She blinked, opening her eyes slowing to show obvious annoyance to her. Even though Annie was a dear friend, Shawnee wouldn't tolerate everything she did, especially if it annoyed her. Then she remembered what she said, and Shawnee whipped her head around to speak

"Oh, i think you know what i mean."

Shawnee knew Annie did know what she meant. Her expression was obvious, and they had known each other for long enough to recognize their expressions. In fact, they had known each other from birth. Well, Shawnee was about a week older, but pretty much. She could barely remember the time when she had been all happy and bright. She would hate it. Then, almost suddenly, her nostrils picked up a scent. A smile spread across her face. She would recognize that scent anywhere.

"Oh, this is going to be fun."

My eyes looked around warily in the forest. I had been in a forest before, but not like this one. The other had been the Sanmere, my home. But here...here was different. The trees loomed over like death loomed over everyone of us, and the shadows almost seemed to dance with the ever changing light. And then i heard voices. My small, fluffy ears pricked, my stubby mane and tail being slightly ruffled by a small breeze. Two scents came to my young nostrils. I recognized them, but i didn't know how. I began to trot forwards, calling out

"Hewo! My name's Rosalind..."

My young, high-pitched voice called out. My dark, appealing eyes took in every thing as i ran through the forest, splashing through a stream. For a young foal, i was fast. A smile came to my face. Well, for others it was a grimace, but for me it was a smile. I began to push through undergrowth, emerging into a clearing. Then i stopped dead. I recognized these horses. And they were not good.

"Jeez Annie, you're gonna be the death of me..." Shawnee's eyes sparked with an odd mixture of annoyance and humour, and I smirked at her. My dark brown eyes gleamed teasingly, deceptive expression dropping. "The purpose, dear sister," I replied in a sing-song voice.

"Oh, I think you know what I mean," the pinto spoke again, answering my question. Then the Shawnee's nostrils flared, picking up a scent. I, in turn, sniffed the air, and half recognised the scent. It smelled like Shawnee, but... not. "Oh, this is going to be fun." Shawnee said.

My brown eyes gleamed with the prospect. This was going to be more fun than originally thought. "Hewo! My name's Rosalind!" a small voice called out, and the sound of galloping filled the air.

Ah. So that annoying mare had named her.

A small filly pushed her way out of the undergrowth, and she stopped dead. She knew us. Oh, did she ever know us. The grimace that was supposed to be a smile faded. The foal with a scarred mouth seemed almost to scared to move.

I siddled forward, lowering my head to her height. Hello, Rosalind, I greeted. My face appeared sweet - too sweet - but my dark eyes gleamed with an expression that did not fit.

Do you remember us?

((I so want to put an evil laugh in there.))

SHAWNEE !

Insanity is a disease

So that must make me contaminated

OOC: I turned Shawnee crazy, so gonna work it into this thread.

The sight of the filly made her break. Her sanity snapped, and eyes turning crazy, and a wild and wicked grin coming over her face. Maybe it was the sight of her daughter, or maybe it was just her, but whatever it was it made her go insane. Her muscles tensed, and she shot into the forest. She circled it around the outside, until she was where the filly would be if she stood outside of the circle. Her crazed eyes gleamed, and she bared her teeth. She itched with blood thirst, the urge to rip into the Buckskin Overo filly's flesh. It was almost killing her. But instead, she just walked up until her legs were inches away from the filly's rump. She curved her neck so that she was looking straight down her nose onto the front of the filly's face. And then she hissed into her ear,

"Get ready for some fun."

The darkness almost got darker for a second, and then it got a shade lighter. Anger flashed across Shawnee's face. She wouldn't be able to do this like she had planned. She stepped forwards, shoving the filly (past Annie) into the clearing. She bared her teeth, eyes wild and crazy. Patches of sweat were beginning to appear on her body, just by the way her muscles were tensed so much. Still showing her teeth, she grinned crazily at her, and said

"Why don't we get this over with now?"

Fear shot through me. I had seen these horses from birth. In fact, one of them had even injured me. My legs were tight with fear. The black one greeted me. I didn't do anything. I thought that was a bit rude at first, but then I remembered. These horses weren't like others. They were bad, they believed in killing. And apparently, I was on their kill list.

"D-don't h-hurt me."

I managed to stammer. I felt darkness begin to eat away at the corners on my eyes, but i blinked it away. If i passed out know, it would only make it easier for them. I felt the paint mare come up behind me, and I heard her talk to me. My eyes widened as much as they could, and tears began to well up. Then i blinked them away. No. I would fight for my life.

I felt the paint mare shove me past the black on into the clearing, and i shot around to face her as soon as i stopped. She spoke to me again, and i noticed something. Something was different about her. There was something wrong. For a moment, i wondered what, but i shook it away. I tightened my muscles so that i held myself firmly on the ground, and i glared at her. No way was i going down tonight.

((Ohhi. Late reply.))

"Get ready for some fun," my dear - and quite possibly insane - sister hissed into my ear. I flicked my ears, amused, but did not reply. I felt Shawnee shoulder past me and I hissed at her, irritated. It was my turn to start. I tensed my muscles and glared at her, ignoring Rosalind for a minute. Already Shawnee was starting to sweat, and I had to roll my eyes. Dear Amon. Was she really that worked up? "Why don't we get this over with now?"

I wedged myself between the mother and daughter, casting a glance at Shawnee. Shawnee, I said with an almost light-hearted laugh. Remember we have not played any games yet. The words held a double meaning, and I knew Shawnee would pick up on it. We had been using this manner of speech since we were naught yearlings. My bodice pressed against hers, dark pelt mixing against patched. Not yet.

I turned my eyes to the foal, eyes gleaming with amusement as I spoke. We won't hurt you. My voice was like honey, calm and soothing. It disgusted me I can even speak in this manner, but if I could use it for some entertainment... Well, I most certainly wasn't above using it to manipulate people. My voice dropped until only Shawnee could hear it. Yet. I pulled away from my dearest friend and pushed Rosalind backwards.

Come now, I said. Do you like to play hide and go seek?

((*cough*Hide and go seek with a murderous twist. *cough*))
